A few adventures

The past couple of days have been fairly interesting. The day after arriving I explored a little bit of Butler with Irena, making a trip to the local grocery and shopping area. Then, we drove down to Jindalee Beach not far from my dad's neighborhood. I took away my first shell from the Indian Ocean, but it's been somewhat rainy so nobody is really swimming yet. We saw a few galahs, native Australian birds, waddling around the beach. Yesterday evening the three of us headed down to the mall in Joondalup after briefly driving through Edith Cowan's University. The mall was packed because only one day a week is the mall open until 9pm. All other days it usually closes by 6pm. While there, I tried the awesome invention of fruit and soft serve. It was so delicious. Today my dad got off work early, so him and I went searching for bike parts to fix the bike I'll be riding. We also took a long drive through Yanchep National Park and continued to drive out in the middle of no where. On our drive I spotted my first kangaroo in Australia, lying dead on the side of the road. But to make up for it, we saw a large group of about fifty kangaroos in an open field along the drive. We also saw some magpies and ring-neck parrots on the shoulder of the road. Tomorrow we're off to explore the big city in downtown Perth. Oh, I almost forgot about me learning to ride my dad's motor bike today. Boy was that fun!
